Sunna Olafson Furstenau has been working to promote cultural heritage for decades. She was honored with the Knight's Cross of the Icelandic Order of the Falcon for her volunteer work related to the many activities in a multitude of projects, programs, and organizations. Some of the major accomplishments are: She founded the nonprofit, 

Icelandic Roots in 2012. She served on the INLNA Board of Directors for 9 years including as President from 2016-2018. She was involved in forming the Icelandic National League of the United States ( in 2019. She has also continued to be active in her local Icelandic clubs in North Dakota and the Icelandic Online Club. Sunna has also been on the Board of Directors In Iceland for the INL and the Honorary Advisory Council. 

Sunna continues her passion for preserving and promoting Icelandic heritage and culture by sharing her knowledge with others through live presentations and via webinars such as this. Come join Sunna for this interesting and informative hour online.
