ACTIVITIES
Plenty to see and do for the whole family
From dancing around the Maypole (called the Maistang) to going on a gnome scavenger hunt, there's something to do for everyone

Flower Crowns
Fresh summer greenery is said to contain magic. The weaving of floral Midsummer wreaths has been a way to harness this power and ensure good health throughout the year in celebrations in Scandinavia for centuries. Use bright flowers and delicate birch branches to weave a wreath of your own!

Kubb
We will have multiple kubb courts set up on the lawn. Come learn how to play the naturally socially-distanced "Viking Chess" lawn game!

Food & Drink
Carina’s Bakery, Harmoni Lodge, Finlandia Foundation and the League of Swedish Societies will be offering delicious fare at our 2022 Oregon Midsummer Festival, and local beer, wine and elderberry juice will be served. Come taste some of the best the Northwest has to offer!

Local Makers
We will have a number of our Midsummer vendors set up for your shopping pleasure. Please support our local artisans and crafters!

Games & Crafts
We welcome everyone to this event so bring your the whole family and enjoy learning some Midsummer dances, going on a scavenger hunt for Nordic Gnomes, playing tug of war, doing arts and crafts, face painting, and more!

Maistang
We'll be dancing and parading with the Maypole. Come learn a traditional Swedish Midsummer dance or three!
